There are 19 instructors to teach different systems.
Infrastructure
The Institute has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities for the conduct of the AME course including General engineering workshop, Class rooms, Labs, Special workshops and aircraft Hangar. It has One Learjet Aircraft (Heavy, Pressurised) One Cessna 152, Two HT-2, One lark and Two Pushpak Aircraft. Learjet, Cessna – 152 and HT-2 Aircraft are live with all systems and engines functional. There are twelve Piston engines and Two Jet engines.
Scope of approval and regulations
The institute functions under the complete control of the DGCA for all matters of AME training. Govt. regulations and requirements as per CAR section 2 are satisfied by the institute.
Scope of Approval
Ab-initio training in the field of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering to Cover Basic Licence in Mechanical Stream (Aeroplane & Power Plant) comprising Light Aeroplane (LA), Piston Engine(PE) , Heavy Aeroplane ( HA),Jet Engine (JE).
Course offered
- AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering)
It is a course conducted under the direct supervision of Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The course content and the system meet the international Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) norms and requirements. The course consists of general engineering studies and specific aeroplane engineering studies. The course structure is as designed by the DGCA. The course is of three years duration – six semesters. Five semesters of theory as well as practical and the sixth semester is of On- Job – Practical – Training on aeroplanes and systems.
Admission Policy
Qualification for admission
10+2 with minimum 50% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
OR
Diploma or degree in any branch of engineering
OR
Any higher qualification with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
Medical standard
The candidates for admission should be medically fit, free of any disability and colour blindness. A medical certificate from a doctor of at least MBBS should be produced stating that the candidate is free of any physical disability and colour blindness.
Method of Selection
Applications are called for admission in the months of May- June every year. Application forms can be obtained from the institution on payment of Rs. 300/- . Completed applications are received in the months of May- June- July. The applications are scrutinized and eligible candidates are called for interview /test. Candidates who are selected after interview /test are granted admission.
Chargable Fees
Tution Fees for the course – Rs. 45,000/- per semester
Course Duration
3 years. (Six semesters)
OJT - “On- Job- Practical Training”
OJT will be provided by the college covering the complete scope of approval in the mechanical stream (Aeroplane and Power plant) on Light Aeroplane , Heavy Aeroplane, Piston Engine and Jet Engine. The OJT meets the complete requirements of the DGCA and the approved OJT Manual.
Terms and Conditions
- Wearing of college uniform is compulsory in the institute.
- Strict discipline is ensured in the institute and campus.
- Hostels are provided for boys and girls.
- Facilities are provided in the campus for sports like foot ball, Volley ball and badminton.
Infrastructure
The institute has complete infrastructure and facilities ,as required by civil Aviation requirements consisting of pressurized aeroplane (Heavy Aeroplane), Light Aeroplane , Piston Engines and Jet engines. There are five aeroplanes, sixteen piston engines, 2 turbojet engines, 1turbo prop engine and 2 turbofan engines. There is mechanical engineering workshop, smithy shop, welding shop, sheet metal shop, NDT shop, composite shop, electrical shop, aero engine shop and Aeroplane systems shop to cover the complete aspects of theory and practicals.
AMAeSI( Associate Membership of Aeronautical Society of India)
Associate membership examination of Aeronautical society of india is recognized equivalent to B. Tech in Aeronautical by Govt. of India. Certificate is issued by Aeronautical society of India. Successful candidates are eligible for admission to M. Tech, MBA etc.
Eligibility
10+2 with minimum 60% marks in Mathematics, 50% marks in Physics and Chemistry.

4 years.
Course Fee
Rs. 25,000/- per semester.
AME and AMAeSI combined course
Duration - 4 years
Fees – Rs. 55,000/- per semester.
Polytechnic Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (T. Engineering)
Duration - 3years
Eligibility - SSLC passed with 60% of marks.
Duration - 2 years
Eligibility - +2 PCM Pass with Min. 50% marks or ITI, ITC courses
